IMPETUS
Vocation with heart and mind
You want…
- …combine your practical knowledge with modern research?
- …help shape the future with a know-how family?
- …pass on their expertise to generations of students?
Become part of our professorial staff at the University of Applied Sciences in Coburg!
This is IMPETUS
We make the path to a professorship easier, approach qualified people directly and support them from application to appointment and beyond.
We receive funding for this as part of the federal-state initiative ‘FH-Personal’.
Excellence magnet for teaching
- With our image campaign, we not only want to make our educational institution more attractive as a prospect for the future, but also make the path to a professorship at our university as easy as possible.
To this end, we are increasing the visibility of the faculties’ teaching, research and cultural diversity and are directly approaching people who would like to shape the region and students with us.
This is facilitated by the prevailing family environment and a forward-looking mission. - Our personnel recruiting and development offensive picks up potential lecturers at an early stage and supports their entry into everyday working life beyond onboarding through workshops and tailor-made didactic offers on site.
In doing so, we also focus on the goals of equal opportunities, in particular attracting female professors to the university. - In addition, our transfer professorships are intended to give more time to transfer activities or research than to teaching.
We are also focusing on networking with regional companies: We want to promote young talent with tandem doctorates and show career options for HAW professorships. - We love what we do: for research, for teaching and for lecturers!

Not only expertise in the subject area, but also an attitude towards teaching and collegiality play an important role.
As a modern employer, the well-being of our future employees is important to us.
That is why the university offers flexible structures that also take individual needs into account.
This is how we create the ideal conditions for excellence.
