University Council
The University Council of Coburg University of Applied Sciences
The University Council plays a decisive role in the further development and strategic direction of our university.
It is made up of experienced experts who contribute their extensive knowledge and expertise to shaping our vision and goals.
Together, we work to ensure the highest quality standards in teaching and research and promote innovative projects that make our university fit for the future.
By working closely with the university administration and academic staff, we are committed to excellence in education and a strong connection to society.
The tasks of the University Council
Among other things, the University Council adopts the university’s basic regulations, elects the President and Vice-Presidents and decides on the establishment, modification and discontinuation of degree programs.
The other tasks are set out in Art. 36 BayHIG.

The University Council also includes the elected members of the Senate of Coburg University of Applied Sciences (Art. 26 para. 1 sentence 1 no. 1 BayHSchG).
Term of office
The term of office of the current University Council is from November 15, 2023 to November 14, 2027.
