Library services

The Coburg University of Applied Sciences library provides members of the university with literature and information.
However, it is also open to interested members of the public for academic purposes and professional development.
In the library, more than 90,000 media can be used in the reading room or ordered from the stacks.
In addition, around 340 journals are accessible.
The current volumes are available in the reading room, the older volumes in the magazine stacks.
The library also offers access to numerous electronic media, such as various databases (TEMA WTI Frankfurt, WISO), e-journals and e-books.
It is also the official distribution point for DIN standards.

Online library catalog

Students use the WebOPAC online catalog to search the library collections of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and our partner university in Aschaffenburg.
They also have access to a Germany-wide interlibrary loan service.

Locations

The Central Library is located at the Friedrich Streib Campus.
There is a branch library on the Design Campus.
Books can be ordered or reserved and collected via the library catalog at both locations.
Books borrowed from the Central Library cannot be returned to the Branch Library and vice versa.

Use by students, employees and lecturers

You log in to WebOPAC with your user number, which can be found on the back of your student or service ID card (above the barcode), and with the password, which is made up of your birthday and month (example: 11.05.1988: 1105). Fees The proper use of the university library is free of charge for university members.
Charges are only incurred if the loan period is exceeded and items are not renewed on time.
The amount of the overdue fines will be announced in the library. User Regulations The General User Regulations of the Bavarian State Libraries (ABOB) apply to the Coburg University Library.

Use by external parties

External visitors receive a library card on presentation of their identity card.
Use of the library is free of charge.
