CREAPOLIS Makerspace
CREAPOLIS Makerspace
The CREAPOLIS Makerspace in the Alte Kühlhalle on the former site of the Coburg abattoir is Coburg University’s open workshop.
From traditional tools to high-tech tools, you can find everything your heart desires here.
From leisure crafts to start-up prototyping, everything is allowed: students, members of the public, school pupils and all other partners and interested parties aged 16 and over can implement their own ideas, learn new skills and experience a creative community.
An open workshop thrives on the community: knowledge and tools should be shared so that everyone benefits.

Why another workshop at Coburg University of Applied Sciences?
Because we are an open workshop for everyone.
Many workshops and laboratories at the university are not open to the public.
Our aim is to enable and promote collaboration across disciplines and outside the university.
That’s why the laser cutter stands next to the sewing machine next to the soldering iron next to the circular saw (well, almost).
