Events

The Commissioner for Equal Opportunities for Women in Science and Art and the Equal Opportunities Officer have jointly developed the “StartSprung – Women and Careers” program.
It is aimed at female students and employees at Coburg University of Applied Sciences.

Women Professors Program

In the last ten years, the proportion of female professors at Coburg University of Applied Sciences has risen from 9 percent to 18 percent.
This process has been supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research’s Female Professors Program, in which Coburg University of Applied Sciences has already participated twice.

Coburg University of Applied Sciences was also successful in the Women Professors Program III.
Until 2023, the funding can be used to finance three female professors with up to 400,000 euros.

Guidelines for gender-appropriate language

At the suggestion of the Extended University Management, the Women’s and Equal Opportunities Officers at Coburg University of Applied Sciences developed a guideline for gender-equitable language.
With this gender guideline, they want to support all colleagues who are looking for ways to express themselves in a gender-equitable way both verbally and in writing.
The suggestions are not binding or obligatory for Coburg University of Applied Sciences.
This would not be possible in the spirit of academic freedom.
However, they provide an up-to-date overview and concrete suggestions for formulations for all those who want to open up or inform themselves.
