Guidelines for gender-appropriate language
At the suggestion of the Extended University Management, the Women’s and Equal Opportunities Officers at Coburg University of Applied Sciences developed a guideline for gender-equitable language.
With this gender guideline, they want to support all colleagues who are looking for ways to express themselves in a gender-equitable way both verbally and in writing.
The suggestions are not binding or obligatory for Coburg University of Applied Sciences.
This would not be possible in the spirit of academic freedom.
However, they provide an up-to-date overview and concrete suggestions for formulations for all those who want to open up or inform themselves.
