Dies academicus 2024

Bayerns Innenminister Joachim Herrmann lächelt in die Kamera

Coburg University of Applied Sciences is celebrating this year’s Dies academicus – the academic day for all members of the university community – on November 19. The Bavarian State Minister of the Interior, Joachim Herrmann, has been announced as the guest of honor at the event in the Brose Aula. He is the longest-serving Minister of the Interior of any federal state and has been in office since 2007. Mr. Herrmann will discuss the topic with students from our university, among others: “Democracy and freedom in danger!” Growing political shift to the right in the population, increasing radicalized violence, decline in values: What is the current state of our democracy and what options are there to protect it?
