Taster days at Coburg University of Applied Sciences Every year during the Bavarian Easter vacations, we offer a two-day program with detailed information about our degree courses, taster lectures and the opportunity to get to know the campus. Autumn holiday event “Off to the lecture hall”

What is it like to sit in a lecture hall?How does a lecture work? What topics are covered? What do students actually learn, for example in mechanical engineering, social work or integrated product design? Students can experience and try out all of this for themselves at Coburg University of Applied Sciences during the Bavarian fall break: We are opening up selected courses from the regular semester program of all departments to prospective students!

Coburg Study Fair

A-levels – and then? If you are asking yourself this question, the next Coburg Study Fair on October 19, 2024 is the right place for you: As a joint event of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and the Bamberg-Coburg Employment Agency, it offers prospective students comprehensive opportunities to find out more: In presentations, professional practitioners will give vivid examples of career opportunities offered by various fields of study; information stands from universities and colleges from Bavaria and neighboring states as well as from regional and national companies offer the opportunity to find out more about degree programs and dual study opportunities and to make direct contact.

Campus.Design Open

Every year, anyone interested in the degree programs offered by the Faculty of Design has the opportunity to see works and projects by students and to get to know the faculty through public lectures, workshops, talks, guided tours of the buildings and much more.

MUT

Girls and Technology – MUT is a joint program of the Upper Franconian universities, which informs schoolgirls about the possibilities of technical and scientific courses of study in regular events. More information about the MUT program can be found here.

Student advisors or representatives of individual degree programs are happy to come to your school. Alternatively, virtual events are also possible (e.g. via ZOOM or via your school’s internal platform). In addition to university-specific topics, general topics are also possible, e.g. the German higher education system, application and admission, student financing, etc. Furthermore, Coburg University of Applied Sciences is also available as an external project partner, e.g. for P or W seminars (e.g. lecture, discussion or workshop on a specialist topic). The Student Advisory Service will be happy to put you in touch with the professors.

We look forward to welcoming school classes to the Coburg University of Applied Sciences campus again. We are happy to create an individual program on site (e.g. with a tour of the laboratory and campus). For the technical colleges in the region, we offer an FOS Technology Day and an FOS Business Day every year, each with a complete subject-specific program. Work placement 9th grade grammar school 9th grade grammar school students can come to Coburg University of Applied Sciences for their work placement, e.g. in the university library or in laboratories and workshops. Coburg University of Applied Sciences offers various workshops in cooperation with the other Upper Franconian universities as part of the Student Research Center. You are welcome to refer students from the 10th grade onwards to this offer: www.tao-oberfranken.de

The CREAPOLIS makerspace in the former director’s villa at the Schlachthof is an open workshop that is well equipped for tinkering, inventing and making: Various 3D printers, laser cutters, e-technology equipment including soldering stations and much more, as well as a classic wood workshop are available to the public. Teachers can hold their own working groups, workshops etc. here and use the equipment, for example to produce teaching materials. More information at www.creapolis-coburg.de

Appointments by appointment on site, by phone or via video chat; you or your students can find the contact details here.
