Pupils conduct research in Coburg

The Student Research Center offers school students the opportunity to gain qualifications in the fields of computer science, natural sciences, materials science and technology.
Workshops, seminars and project weeks are regularly organized at the universities of Bamberg and Bayreuth as well as at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Coburg and Hof.
The students receive professional guidance and support from scientists.
They gain insights into current research projects at the four Upper Franconian universities and can apply, expand and deepen the knowledge they have acquired in the STEM subjects at school.
The Student Research Center is a project within the TechnologieAllianzOberfranken (TAO).
The four Upper Franconian universities and colleges in Bamberg, Bayreuth, Coburg and Hof work together here.
Further information on the student research center can also be found on the TAO homepage.
Sponsors are the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts and the Oberfranken Offensiv e.V. association.

In a room filled with pottery equipment and supplies, a woman from Hochschule Coburg expertly demonstrates a pottery technique to three young women. Holding a bowl over a bucket on the table, she captivates their attention as they watch and learn.
Two scientists in white lab coats work collaboratively at a Hochschule Coburg lab bench. One peers into a microscope while the other takes notes on a diagram, surrounded by papers and a bottle. The environment buzzes with academic synergy.

MUT – Girls and technology

Under the motto MUT – Girls and Technology, there are always various activities for technology-loving schoolgirls during the vacations.
You can find the Girls and Technology activities here.

In a workshop at Hochschule Coburg, two people are engaged in hands-on learning. One wears safety goggles, focused on their task with a tool in hand, while the other watches with a thoughtful smile. Both are casually dressed, surrounded by an array of tools and equipment.
Two people sit at a table strewn with papers, notebooks, and stationery, deeply engaged in discussion. A house plan is sketched out nearby, next to a book titled "Wissen erleben," perhaps hinting at their studies or project from Hochschule Coburg.

Registration

Registration for the workshops takes place online via the TechnologieAllianzOberfranken (TAO) website.
