More than 500 people work full-time in teaching, research and transfer at Coburg University of Applied Sciences, around 250 of whom work in administration. Family at the university
“As human beings, we need family friendliness.” Coburg University of Applied Sciences is therefore a member of the “Family in Higher Education” practice club. This club brings together universities and universities of applied sciences from all over Germany that see themselves as pioneers in the social development towards more family orientation and appreciation of diversity. The topic of “compatibility of family and studies or career” is a central concern of Coburg University of Applied Sciences. By improving the framework conditions, students(studying with children) and members of the university who take on family responsibilities should be equally supported. Family friendliness is not only aimed at families with children. Rather, the university also takes into account the increasing proportion of those who take responsibility for caring for relatives. University members receive support from the university’s family office.

With its Dual Career Service, Coburg University of Applied Sciences supports dual-career couples in relocating the center of their lives to our region.
