Content and financing of doctorates
The doctorate starts with your idea and your interest in a topic. What particularly appealed to you during your studies, which professor inspired you? What would you like to investigate and be an expert in? What is relevant about your research topic, why will your research question still be important in three years’ time?
In addition to questions about time, it is also crucial that your livelihood is financially secure: through a job inside or outside academia, a scholarship or other funding opportunities such as a cooperation with a company. For women who live in Bavaria and are doing a doctorate , there are funding offers from the HAW – Landeskonferenz der Frauen- und Gleichstellungsbeauftragten an bayerischen Hochschulen (lakof-bayern.de).
