Ethics Committee
Tasks and members
Coburg University of Applied Sciences has had an ethics committee since 2006. The Ethics Committee has the task of assessing research projects involving ethical issues and issuing opinions on them. It can provide information and advice to the responsible researchers and others involved in research projects. The subject matter of the Ethics Committee’s assessment includes research on humans and on removed body material, epidemiological research and research involving the collection and processing of personal data, studies on somatic cell therapy, as well as research that affects the life and environment of humans (e.g. also technology assessment) and research that is clearly intended to serve defense/military purposes.
