One Health" research focus
The research focus “One Health” is dedicated to researching and promoting health, taking into account interactions with ecosystems.
By using biological, psychological, informatics and environmental chemistry methods, innovative approaches are developed to answer questions related to health and the environment.
The health of humans, animals and ecosystems is closely interlinked.
In our research focus area, interdisciplinary teams of experts pool their expertise to tackle current challenges.
One focus is on the analysis and promotion of individual and systemic health, whereby the interactions between health and ecosystems are of central importance.
The topics are diverse: they include the development and functional analysis of active substances and biomaterials, planetary health, the improvement of bioanalytical methods, the use of artificial intelligence to analyze biological data and innovative approaches to health promotion.
With this research focus, Coburg University of Applied Sciences is responding to the great need to gain knowledge in the field of health and the environment.
