What we value
Combining theory and practice
The Master’s degree in Business Administration at Coburg University of Applied Sciences combines theory and practice. Project work is an integral part of the course. Here you will work on current issues that are currently affecting companies and economic research. The professors will prepare you for the requirements – both in terms of the subject matter and the methods to be used. Your task is to apply this knowledge independently, develop practical solutions from it and present them in a discussion. The projects often take place in cooperation with companies or institutions.

In order to successfully complete the specializations, you will take the corresponding modules, which make up around 50 percent of the entire course.
Study internationally
Coburg University of applied sciences and arts maintains relationships with numerous foreign partner universities. Students have the opportunity to spend a semester or do an internship abroad.
It is also possible to obtain a double degree in the Master of Business Administration. This means that students obtain a Master’s degree from Coburg University of Applied Sciences and a Master’s degree from our partner university, the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), Australia.

Studying with in-depth practice (PraxisPLUS)
Studying with in-depth practical experience in the PraxisPLUS model offers you the opportunity to gain more practical experience during your studies – without extending the duration of your studies. The prerequisite is a work contract with a company/institution. You can apply your knowledge from the lecture directly at work. The work in the company is remunerated. This in turn makes it easier to finance your studies.
Course content and schedule
In the Master’s degree program in Business Administration, you choose which modules you take during the course of your studies. This means that there is no predefined course of study, but you put it together individually. You can choose from a total of five module groups. Each module group has a minimum number of modules and ECTS points that must be completed during your studies.

Module group 5: Master's thesis
In the Master’s thesis, students work on a complex question from the field of economics. Students can only register for the Master’s thesis once they have acquired at least 50 ECTS from module groups 1-4.
