The Student Advisory Service and Career Service department at Coburg University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the Employment Agency, supports our graduates with all questions regarding applications and starting a career.
The Campus Fair also takes place once a year, where you can make important contacts with companies.
Career Service
The Career Service at Coburg University of Applied Sciences supports students and graduates with all questions regarding applications and career entry.
Our aim is to provide students with information, advice and qualifications to help them shape their career paths independently and in a goal-oriented manner.
The Career Service’s services include, for example
- Individual advice with regard to job search and contacting employers
- Application portfolio check
- Training for job interviews and assessment centers
- Information events on application and career topics such as job research, employment contracts, starting a career, salary issues
- Organization of trips to career fairs
- Establish contacts with regional and national employers
Campus Fair
Once a year – in November – Coburg University of Applied Sciences hosts the Campus Fair.
At this careers fair, more than 80 employers present themselves to students as exhibitors.
The focus is on internship opportunities, final theses and job vacancies.

Online job exchange of the Bavarian universities
The Hochschul-Jobbörse is a platform for job vacancies in which 14 Bavarian universities participate.
Students can find over 2,000 internships, theses and job vacancies here.
Employers can publish internships and theses free of charge and job offers and student jobs for a fee.
In this way, the online job exchange manages to bring students, graduates and alumni with initial work experience and companies together in a mutually beneficial way.

The “eXIST” project of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy is especially for students and graduates of universities.

Career opportunities in the region
The Coburg area is a strong economic region with a high industrial density.
With 184 industrial employees per 1,000 inhabitants, the city of Coburg ranks 8th in Bavaria.
The main manufacturing sectors are the automotive supply industry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and the upholstered furniture industry.
