ERASMUS+ / EU program for study visits

Coburg University of Applied Sciences participates in the EU’s ERASMUS+ program and thus
supports its students during stays abroad in the European Union. Partnerships exist with over 60 universities in Europe. Due to its internationalization efforts, the EU has awarded the university the ERASMUS Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027. The ERASMUS+ program enables:

  • Semester stays at partner universities in Europe
  • No tuition fees abroad
  • ERASMUS grant
  • Recognition of academic achievements abroad

ERASMUS+ / EU program for internships abroad

ERASMUS+ also funds internships for students at a host institution in another European country.
However, EU institutions or institutions that administer EU programs as well as embassies of the students’ countries of origin are excluded. Funding is provided for a 2 to 12-month internship in European companies with a monthly allowance.
The university’s International Office provides advice on finding an internship and information on all funding modalities.

Other funding programs that support studying abroad

Bavarian subsidies

The Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Culture, Science and the Arts also provides Bavarian universities with funding for students’ stays abroad, which can be awarded directly to students by the International Office.
These include

  • Support for studies and internships worldwide
  • Subsidies for living expenses worldwide
  • Promotion of study trips accompanied by lecturers

    für jeweiliges Wintersemester

PROMOS Program

With the PROMOS program, the DAAD gives universities the opportunity to award various types of scholarships directly to students.
These include

  • Travel allowances for internships worldwide
  • Travel allowances for studies worldwide
  • Subsidies for living costs worldwide
  • Grants for language courses worldwide
  • Study trips / competition trips in a group accompanied by lecturers

Fulbright Scholarships

The German-American Fulbright Commission supports study visits to the USA.
Students and Bachelor graduates can apply for this.
A scholarship offers (partial) reimbursement of tuition fees, travel expenses, supervision and seminars. Application deadline: early July for the winter semester after next
