Terms of use for the publication of information on computer systems at Coburg University of Applied Sciences

§ 1 Establishment and operation of information servers at Coburg University of Applied Sciences
(1) The University Computer Centre operates the information servers of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and provides all organizational units with an appropriate place for their publications.
(2) All information about the university is published under the official domain of Coburg University of Applied Sciences.
§ 2 Establishment and tasks of the web editorial team
(1) A web editorial team shall be set up at the university.
It shall consist of at least six members appointed by the university management.
(2) The web editorial team shall consist of at least: 1 member from the university management department 1 member from the press and public relations department 1 member from the university computer center 3 members from the faculties If necessary, the web editorial team may call in further experts for its meetings or individual items on the agenda.
(3) The web editorial team decides on the definition and further development of a basic layout.
(4) The web editorial office is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the system, optimization, checking and, if necessary, sanctioning of the pages published under the official domain of Coburg University of Applied Sciences in accordance with these terms of use.
(5) The president or the university management may override decisions made by the web editorial team.
The president or the university management may assign further tasks to the eb editorial office if necessary.
§ 3 Working methods of the web editorial team
(1) The member of the university management department shall chair the web editorial team.
(2) The chairperson of the web editorial team shall invite members to a meeting at least one week in advance.
(3) The invitation to the meetings shall be accompanied by an agenda consisting of the proposals of the members of the web editorial team.
(4) The final agenda shall be decided at the beginning of the meeting.
(5) The web editorial team is quorate if more than half of the members are present.
(6) Resolutions are passed by a simple majority of the votes cast.
(7) Votes may be transferred.
Each member may transfer his or her vote to another member, provided he or she has notified the chairperson in advance.
(8) Minutes of the results of each meeting shall be prepared and distributed to the members of the web editorial team and the university management as well as posted on the university’s website for all members of the university.
§ 4 Requirements for the Coburg University of Applied Sciences website
(1) The published content must not violate the statutory provisions of personal rights, copyright, press and criminal law.
In particular, all insulting, defamatory, anti-constitutional, racist or pornographic statements or images are prohibited, as are derogatory statements about a person’s ethnic origin, gender, religion or ideology, disability, age or sexual identity.
External links to sources containing such statements or images may not be posted.
Observance of the rules of decency on the Internet (“netiquette”) is recommended.
(2) All pages must comply with the basic layout defined by the web editorial team.
(3) The web editorial team decides which pages do not have to comply with the basic layout.
This may include, among other things
- Project pages by students that do not reflect official university content
- – Pages on events and projects at the university for which a separate website is offered or which are operated jointly with other partners.
However, a clear reference to the Coburg University of Applied Sciences website should be made on these pages. - Pages with applications, such as webmail, which are difficult to adapt to the basic layout
(4) The user regulations of the German Research Network (DFN) (http://www.dfn.de/dfn/nutzord-inhalt.html) must be observed.
(5) The logo and other official marks of the university may only be used on pages whose content is related to teaching, research or the performance of tasks assigned by law or decided by the responsible bodies of the university.
(6) Each page must contain clear information about who is the contact person for the content and who is the contact person for the technical implementation.
Instead of the name of the contact person, the organizational unit may also appear, provided that a clear personal responsibility can be identified.
In addition, each page must contain the date of its creation or last modification.
(7) All pages must be regularly checked for validity by the contact persons responsible for the content.
(8) In the event of non-compliance with the terms of use, the web editorial team has the right to issue appropriate warnings to the relevant contact persons and their organizational units.
If the warned violations are not rectified within a period set by the web editorial team, the web editorial team has the right to make appropriate corrections itself or to deactivate the pages.
The control, warning and correction of pages can be transferred to individual persons.
In the event of violations of § 4, para.
1, the President of Coburg University of Applied Sciences, the university management or the web editorial team may immediately shut down the site without prior warning.
§ 5 Final provisions
(1) A reference to the “Terms of Use for the Publication of Information on Computer Systems of Coburg University of Applied Sciences” must be included in the imprint of the university’s website.
(2) These rules of use replace the “Rules for the publication of information on computer systems of Coburg University of Applied Sciences” of October 10, 1997, its implementation regulations of July 27, 2003 and the “Provisional rules of procedure for the www editorial office of Coburg University of Applied Sciences” of July 10, 2003.
The members of the previous www editorial team form the web editorial team.
Their term of office begins with the entry into force of these Terms of Use.
(3) The rules of use shall come into force upon their adoption by the university management.
